What Are the Best Graduate Level Dental Schools?
Students who are interested in the dental field have many options available to them in addition to general dentistry. Career opportunities include orthodontics, oral surgery and periodontal specialties. To enter any of the sub fields, such as dental hygienists or dental assistants, a bachelor’s degree is recommended. However, to enter the specialty areas, a minimum of a graduate degree is needed. If oral surgery is selected, pathology and radiology are also options. Once a two or four year accredited dental hygiene program is completed, students can sit for the required state licensure exams. There are many types of graduate level dental degrees. They include a Master of Science, Master of Arts, and Master of Business Administration.
